Village Hall
Auchterhouse Parish Hall consists of two separate halls plus toilets for ladies, gents and the disabled. During school hours and term time the hall is used by the primary school for lunches, gym class and other activities that require in indoor space. The hall can be hired out by the public in the evenings, weekends and school holidays for:
- Meetings (£8)
- Clubs (£8)
- Children’s party (£25)
- Adult party (£50)
- Charity/fundraising events (£30)
- Christenings (£50)
- Weddings (£50)
The smaller hall has cooking facilities for public use and an enclosed kitchen which is used by the school. There are tables and chairs included in the hire of the hall with a maximum attendance of 80 adults.
The Hall Management Committee has sole authority for the letting of the hall to community organisations and the public. The role of the committee is to manage the Hall for the good of the community by maintaining the interior of the premises (internal decoration, heating, lighting and cleanliness), providing furniture, applying fair letting charges and controlling lettings.
The committee is made up of a representative of each local organisation plus the school parent council and up to six representatives of the public. Committee meetings are held three times each year: January, April and September at 7:30pm. The April meeting is open to the public.
